Publishing a Map
Map Maker allows you to publicly "publish" your maps so they can be easily viewed by the general public.
When you publish a map, anyone with the map's URL will be able to view it without needing a Map Maker account.
If you prefer to restrict access so that only specific users can view your map, please see Adding a Map User.
STEP 1: Click on "Publishing".
STEP 2: Check the "Publish Map" checkbox.
This will display the following map information:
- Map URL: A permanent hyperlink that can be shared via email, social media, etc., allowing others to view the map.
- Embed Code: HTML code that can be used to embed the map into web pages.

To Make a Published Map Private:
If you have already published a map and want to make it private again, simply uncheck the "Publish Map" option. The map will no longer be accessible via the URL, and the embed code will no longer work.
